Oh the epicness. I pre-purchased it the second they announced it, but about a month ago I bought my mac, and I almost killed myself when I realized bethesda STILL dont support mac D: so I bought windows 7 (legit all the way!) and DL'd it on my mac using bootcamp. Today I learnt the 3 shout things, and may I say i had a skygasm <3 If you don't know what skyrim is, then don't dare post on this thread q.q So how's everyone progressing in the game? *side note - I owe my addiction all to ned, who introduced me to oblivion <3*
I've just dealt with the first one (at level 5) and discovered I need to ease off on the fizzy pop as it makes me burp... What? That was a Dragon Shout? I thought it was gas... On a serious note, Poc, you have caused me to buy Win7 just to play the game the way Bethseda intended... on Ultra graphics... *shakes fist* As Tears for Fears said... Shout! Shout! Let it all out!
(xbox 360) i am currently lvl 50. just got the achievement for it ;-) almost up to 20 dragon souls. Wood-elf stealth archer with dual wield blades for backup. lvl 100 archery, sneak, blacksmith, enchanting, 90 light armor and working on getting my 1 hand up to 100 too ;-) absolutly amazing game seeing how im not even halfway trough the main quest yet ( been exploring the vast world and side/faction quests) lol... probably going to be lvl 80 by end of game assuming i continue to lvl everything up to 100 oh yeah wearing full Dragonscale armor fully custom enchanted and my dual wielding 1h are 2 deadric weapons so far that i love. Dawnbreaker (frire damage and makes undead explode and mace of molag bal (soul trap and heavy magic damage) So far i would say this is the best rpg i have ever played. and I have played a lot. *edit* just a fair warning on dragons... they do get harder... especially around lvl 45 when they become red and are called "Ancient dragons" their fire breath is horrible... you actually have to hide during the fire breath to survive unless you got a million ultimate healing potions ^_^ to fully heal you over and over.
Really noob question here - I have been given a weapon with an enchantment on it but it needs "charging" and I do not have the component necessary. The tooltip gives no hint as to what it is either. What do I need?
got to use a soul gem. in your items inventory find the weapon you want to charge. on xbox it is right bumper to charge dont know what it is on pc. but you use that button on selected weapon and choose the soul gem you wish to use to charge.
Level 50 85 dragon souls ;D 94 dragons killed *And ancients aren't that hard dragon plate works pretty well against them as well as shield and sword
the thing I was looking forward to the most was the dragons, and now its the thing i most hate about the game, its so annoying when i fast travel to a new town and am instantly under attack from a dragon when I either dont want to take the time to kill it or I am not prepared to, I wish you could toggle them off if you werent doing the main storyline
High level... pfft... I just go around, not even doing the main quest, due to an overload of sidequests... my goal is to have been to every city on the map, before I even get the horn of that mr. Windcaller... (If I stay and do the quests in every town, however, I might be busy for a while with that, though ;P) Stats: Khajit Archer/ Dueler Priest (as I call it... one hand a (bound) sword, other a restoration spell) Lvl 21, Highest skill: Sneak, lvl 52; Light armour, lvl 52; One handed, lvl 61; Lockpicking, lvl 41; Restoration, lvl 32, Archery; 41... And shuttup, lvl 50 ppl, I'm proud >.< Ps. I will have my skype/steam open at all time, so chat me up if you need me (Skype: Stylether; Steam: Lorenz0123) Pps. You may summon me if someone needs a ban on MC and no one else is on... but at a price *evil laugh*
how far into main quest are you to have that many dragon souls? kinda hard to believe unless you just go from tower to tower farming them all day long >.> im not even halfway through main quest. have been doing all the side quests and exploring. Also just to mention i said "harder" for ancients as the earlier versions are simple and quickly dispatched, the ancient one was the first dragon i encountered thats fire breath actually hurt. maybe dragon plate offers better protection but not all of us are heavy armor users
Im literaly attacked everytime I leave a town and its annoying as hell and I finished the main story and it seems that there should be less dragons but there isn't... Now im just picking up sidequests thieves guild was quite fun ;p
Well I have managed to get Win7 on its own hard drive now and I have to say that Skyrim looks better running native rather than under Cider even on similar settings. I think the main difference is the shadows - under Cider they were blockier and had this occasional jerkiness as if they realised they were being looked at and were in the wrong place. This is not as noticeable under Windows. I decided to start the game over as I only had three evenings of play in it. I wanted to look at the starting areas again now I had the game running properly. Right now I have saved outside Embershard Mine ready to have a word with the guys inside.. again. I do notice the fans ramping up more - I don't know if it is the GPU or CPU fans but the game is louder under Windows than Cider. As for crashes, it is Cider 1 : Windows 1 - both when opening a chest as it happens. Yay for frequent saves!
