Lately, I've just been having fun testing out the vast community of mods that have been setup for Minecraft, and it came to my head, that a lot of mods seem to change the way the game looks. So, I'm here to show you how to graphically improve all specs of your game to near badass levels! These are all the mods to change the complete outlook of your game. Things that will help you do this faster! Magic Launcher- This is a custom made launcher made for installing texture packs and mods easily, so this will help you a lot, while installing everything that is needed. Just download, and open, it's that easy. (Well to most people at least...) You can install mods easily and quickly by just clicking the 'setup' button on the side. ModLoader-You will 100% need this! If you do not have this installed, none of the mods will work. Make sure this comes before all other mods in Magic Launcher, otherwise nothing will work. Quin Options- While I'm not to sure if this is required, it seemed to be that way for me, so I suggest you install this one to make sure everything works properly. Basically all it does is add an extra bar which allows you to swap around a few things with mods. Optifine- Boost your FPS with this mod, it allows you to adjust rain, weather, and particles completely separate from each other! The Main Event Now you can start adding in the mods to make your game look awesome. 3D Items- This will make all those flat, boring floating icons on your game become amazing, 3D spinning objects of epicness. GLSL Shaders- This will add more of a shadowy realistic feel to the game, giving off beautifully rendered shadows and light. Along with wavy grass and leaves. Traditional Beauty Texture Pack- If your a fan of the default Minecraft look, then you'll love this. It adds more depth to the games original textures, and looks more creative while using the mods. Soon to be added? The reason I say this is because it's not totally complete, the Water Shader mod for Minecraft is still yet to be updated to 1.4.5. Water Shader- What it does is, it makes all the water a very nice clear and reflective surface which adds natural beauty to the game's water areas. Requests? If you have any requests for a mod that improves the game's quality, then message me the link and I'll check it out. http://tinyurl.com/MCGraphicsImprovement
I think so. But for some of the mods it requires ModLoader. I'm not sure if it works for the ones that need modloader... I had a hard time trying to get that to work, even with the videos explaining it. I found magic launcher to be a quicker process, so I guess it just varies...
It's funny.. Right when I suggest to Mojang that they add in some form of the 3-D mod... they add in 3-D entities to the 1.4.6 change log. NO JOKE. Thank me kids.
In that traditional beauty texture pack is the text like default? EDIT: I tried it and now my eyes hurt.
I used to use traditional beauty.. I don't know why though, I tried it out again today and it feels like you are playing Minecraft on acid.
yea I'm using Faithful 32x currently. Could go back to 64x, since my fps dies anyway for chunk updates or something.
