Sorry, But I honestly don't see the point of making homes for others on a creative server. What else is there to do on that server than to build?
You always have to question all of my threads don't you? It's simply for the purpose of fun, but clearly people don't think it's pointless because all the houses are gone already.
They aren't buying them.. If you could read then it would say search for signs around the town to possibly get a home which is built for the fun of it. That was a contest to see who wanted the homes enough to search for a sign to get a home, which I'm guessing you didn't do. This server is to freely build without having to search the whole minecrafty world for items that you could just get in a seconds notice from your inventory. It is all for the fun of it. Fun and entertainment of building awesome and not so awesome structures, and to see what other people have built around the whole server world. It's just fun to do these things, spice it up sometimes... Edit: And even though I helped making two of the homes I still went out there to search for the sign, to get one home, it is all for the fun of it.
You said in that; what is else is there to do on the server than build, which is true. I built houses for people on the server where you simply build things, is there a problem here? Yeah I guess you could consider the server a massive town and to answer your question my motive as bobos said is just to spice things up, what do all you people out there reading this play minecraft for? Fun! This is just another way to add fun to the game, but you have your opinions and I have mine. At the end of the day though does this honestly matter?
You continue to dodge my question. I am simply asking you, in the kindest way possible, why you think anyone would waste their time looking for signs when they could just build a house for themselves. Say even if they got a plot in your town and built a wonderful castle, you'd still get credit for it, as it would be LikePoseidon's plot and LikePoseidon's plot only, the guy who made the castle is but a mere helper, and no noob is going to check who helped! Also, imo, the only "Fun" that can be arrived from creative minecraft is accomplishment for the building you spent months to build. Wheras in Survival you can get fun from caving, or getting tons of money, or on MineZ, you can get fun from waging war on Clique, or in Civcraft, where you use minecraft politics to rule your vast kingdom, or the PvP server, where you get joy from killing that guy in diamond armor using only iron armor!
Then you simply do not know what fun is. Making a building for several months, yeah, is fun but making something really awesome is a short amount of time and sharing it with people is also fun! And to answer your question here it is: I think people would "waste" their time looking for signs for a home, that yes they could make themselves, but they don't because it's nice to take a break from building and see what others can make, and maybe get one of the builds they took their dedicated time to make for someone else and not themselves. It's nice and considerate, maybe something you don't know, but I don't know that. Like I said before, this is all for fun!!! Fun. Fun. Fun. Just plain simple fun! Spice things up, change it around!
First line in that says I dodge your question but you haven't asked that particular question yet... Next you they don't build the house I built it for them so I have no idea why you think they'd build it after you posted saying why I'd waste my time building a house for them so you basicly wrote half of that last post about something that isn't even true, because the houses are pre-made as you know already. Some people aren't credit hogs either, yeah it's nice to get some props but not everybody hates the world when they don't get credit for something. That is fun in your opinion, which is fine but that's not all that's fun on the creative server. Some people come on to build, others to talk or play games with friends it is a server where you can do anything you want! Not just have fun spending a month on a building. So to some it up the answer to your question is that plenty of people didn't think it was a waste of time because they did, therefore I had fun building as you said the server is all about and they had fun looking and now they have a cool house they can call their own. That is all I'm going to say on the matter I've now answered your questions and I have nothing more to say, so if you post anything more in here, creating it will just be a waste of time.
Winners of the sign treasure hunt can come to my plot and choose which house they'd like. TheJamie gets his first pick then hawkeye1219 then bobos193. Go check out the house marked with a beacon and post here either house 1, 2 or 3 (a sign has the house number near the beacon) but if the house is already chosen you may not have it. Thanks guys!
