I think I can safely call myself a "famous" or "popular" player of this community. Did I set out to do so from the very start? no. If you want people to like you, make some friends on this server. Have fun. Play the game. Be active on the forums. Don't be annoying. Don't break the rules. I browse the banned/jail threads every now and then. Both to giggle at the ridiculous things people say, and to see who not to trust or associate with. If you haven't already, get a rank and get rid of that green name. Become a greater part of the community. If you make friends, are an active part of the community in-game and on the forums, people will notice you, and before you know it, everyone will know you. But don't make getting famous or popular your goal. tl;dr play the game, don't worry about popularity.
Well if you call building a mushroom house outside of your town a cry for wanting to be famous, then I guess so.
