I love the ps3 version. I wont be able to get the game as soon as it comes out probably but I will be getting it as soon as possible. I am enjoying the Beta access right now though! I couldn't make a character on Gungnir at the time, but maybe after its fully up and running.

Yeah sure. I can't even get on excalibur cause it's so crowded. Not very happy about that. Hopefully they add an AFK kick feature to lighten the load.
Since my FFXI character was originally from Carbuncle I made a character on Carbuncle Japanese Servers for fun times. Currently playing on that messin' with PUG! Punchin stuff in the face!!! On the Japanese Servers I have noticed no que to log in or any messages saying the server is full. Ever Getting a que/full thing now lol. Oh well I shouldn't have logged out to check the NA/EU server and just kept playing on Carby
Soo it's happening! The supposed solution to all the server congestion! Bought the Ps3 version to play at uni, and man, PC has spoiled me. Graphics not nearly as good as PC (although I expected that). I hope When I buy the game for a third time (on PS4) It will look great!
Thankfully I have awesome friends and one has gotten me a PS3 version of the game. I spent all Beta testing with the ps3. I knew the graphics wouldn't be as good as a PC version, but my PC would do the game about as much justice as the ps3 does, maybe a little better because of the resolution sizes. I am sure the PS4 version of the game will indeed be able to go to 1080 since the ps3 version only does 720. They do have a better lock on which platform you can play the game on, compared to FFXI, so I will have to get a PC copy once I have a better setup and just use my controller with it. I will make a character on Excalibur after the maintenance is over and see if it lets me. I have only been playing the characters I created during beta cause of the character creation issue.
I can still not make a character on Excalibur.. I just noticed a list the posted showing there are no character creations going on for that server still. The 5 NA/EU servers character creation is not available for; Behemoth, Cactuar, Excalibur, Hyperion, and Ultros
Yeah, a shame. However, I read that character creation is available off peak hours, so maybe try that? I also ready that there will be an option to transfer your character to another server in the near future, so that's an option. I'll probably leave excalibur, but i'll post here on what server im going to.
With the base plan being 1 Toon available on up to 8 servers I would say check out a couple. I intend to make a few other toons on other servers. Since it isn't like XI in the leveling aspect I have no problem playing on multiple servers. I have 3 made right now. 2 on the JP side Carbuncle/Gungnir(Lol) and on the NA/EU side I am on Adamantoise. The 2 JP characters were the only 2 I could really play during Phase 4 Beta or even after launch, for the most part, till they fixed a good portion of the servers capacities.
