Given the same abilities helpers can on survival. Just with no /kill. Do helpers have that or is that admins? also prehaps /nick ?
Only moderators and above have access to /kill on survival. I think it would be a good idea to have a separate staff team for creative, similar to survival, but much smaller like PvP.
How about they are just staff to help, they don't need /nick as they are just doing it to help people.
if they are destroying a designer plot or spawn or a plot they aren't added to /mute won't be much use to get rid of them
this has literally happened just that one time and even if it were to happen again you would need an OS if anything it would be just for /mute, but that is why we have antiad and antispam. Yes they are sensitive, but it is better than having to add unnecessary pex and forum ranks
Oh yeah I forgot about the chat plugins, looks like less chance of creative staff If anyone is griefing a plot its because they were added to the plot then it isn't griefing Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler IF SOMEONE IS ADDED TO A PLOT IT IS NOT GRIEFING!!!!!
Well they shouldn't if they are added to the plot it's the owners fault... As far as ik they don't get punished ?
One might argue that the creative server should run like the hardcore server, using trust as the law of griefing. If you added them, it's on you. However, based on the players on creative, it is safe to presume that the trust system doesn't work. If you've ever been on creative, you would know that most everyone there is immature or rude, asking for a girlfriend, or asking someone who obviously wants to be left alone to check out their build. I would love the trust system, but if the whole point of creative is to build, and someone goes off and destroys that hard work without punishment? Yeah, no. We don't work like that. I mean, you could say that if someone constantly does this, they should be punished, but this is the creative server we're talking about. tl;dr People should be banned or atleast temp banned for grief, as it is one of the only 3 things punishable on creative. Griefing Spamming Being immature/rude
And if helpers on creative existed, we'd probably call them moderators, because it would be mods and admins like the old days. Also, they would get commands such as temp banning permission; up to 7 day bans at a time. /kick /mute /tp 600 blocks of WE I mean hell, if they're there to help, their little extra perk should be 200 blocks extra of world edit perms. Makes a tad bit more sense than giving /nick. Obviously that last one is optional, but the others are kind of mandatory. Possibly add the ability to undeny themselves from plots, or remove others from any plot. This could get out of hand, misused powers, but let's face it. If you abuse your powers as a mod, you've basically lied to the admins/overseers/oracles of our servers. Failure to follow any rules of the moderator would result in a ban from creative and possibly a temp multi-server ban to teach a lesson. Just how i'd picture this rank, tbh
If the staff got perks then it wouldn't be volunteering. Staff is volunteering if you got perks it would be getting paid (technically)
kind of like how the recommendation of /nick was brought up, but shot down. It was kind of just a little test to see if people would accept it. In other news, possible a rollback command would be great. Basically they'd get all admin perks except perm banning and unbanning someone who was permbanned.
I've already written up an idea for a Helper rank on Creative should we really need it. It will not be the same staff as other servers, and it will be very limited and commands and power.
I think we should have them with commands like /mute and /kick, but thats it. It would make so staff members like you don't have to spend as much time on creative as they do. Also they should be able to promote people to constructor so os's don't need to be called over whenever a person needs promoting. They don't need the extra 200 blocks of we because 1. It would cause more lag, I asked for it as a designer and got that response, so I'm assuming its the same for staff, and 2. They are promoted to help, not get powers to use.
