Tried it during it beta it was... ok but really if I want a good mmo I would get wow. Also nothing is fun in dota 2 when you are in a public game all by your self
But it's not an MMO. It's Dota, or a "MOBA" if you want to call it that. This is true for the first while of playing Dota. Once you figure out the heroes you like, how you like to play etc. you get more enjoyment out of solo. But playing with friends is more fun in everything. Even watching paint dry is more fun with friends.
But yeah, I can vouch for this game. Whenever Im not on MCS or not studying... I'm playing Dota. (PS: You can deny in this game. Revolutionary, innit?)
Yay! "Hobos of Narnia" is dead and "Lips of Lolygagging" and "Diaper of Terrible Awesomesauce 2" can... Well I don't know what LoL and DoTA2 do... I'm only human... I think.
Ima revive dis thread. Yeah I play dota. Yeah I suck. Yeah I have 4 kills in 6 games. So what? I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!! Like a BOSS!
Haven't touched dota with a ten foot pole partially because I don't feel like learning all the items, champions, and mechanics of the game and partially I don't think anyone wants to teach me.
It's a giant learning curve, the community is... well, like any other A-RTS but it's fun if you play with friends.
