The problem with making big buildings is that you have to spend 10x as long making them interesting - putting in rooms and details and different areas and I'm not just talking about putting handles on a shower in a bathroom, I mean on theoutside too - look at your walls. What is interesting about a 1000 foot high tower with no details after hte windows on the first floor? Look at your lawn - you have 1 water fountain and a road. Nothing else. No trees, no outdoor elements. I'd say in your whole build there are less than 20 different blocks... this isn't a good thing. So yes you made something big, but did you make something hard to build beyond the time to make huge walls? Sorry, this is not a designer quality plot.
Me: In my build there are three floors, the bottom floor has the check-in/check-out counter, the waiting room, a fountain, a daycare, and a water tunnel. the second floor is the rooms, there are 9 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a dancefloor, tables, and a hot tub. the third floor is where you eat, there are many tables and chairs and a buffet type food supply. it is also exposed to the glass roof. in my build, i have filled the inside of my hotel and if you havent noticed, i stuck to a theme. i dont feel there is a need for like a hundred different blocks, i really only need the blocks i provided because that is part of my color and block theme. i could not add anything on the top of the walls on the put anything on the top of the walls on the outside because it is part of the third floor which has very tall walls in result of me not adding more floors. the third floor would look even more odd if i added something on the top of those walls. i also dont feel there is a need for outside "elements" because really the inside of my build is the important part you should be paying attention to. so if you are mainly paying attention to the outside of my build i really will not listen to your suggestions for outside because i have no need for putting anything out there. yes it is plain but the importance of my build is the inside. have you ever even made a roof like the one i built either? it took me days and forever. i hope you at least appreciated the roof because that was very challenging to do and i feel confident with my build no matter wut critisism you give me. i really feel the way i made my build is fine and i dont want to put anything outside because there is no need. thanks for reading and i hope you think about this when approving and denying plots. Minecat. Im going to be very honest and tough with this build. I will put it in a spoiler so that you have a chance to skip it because it is very negative. The outside of the building: To be frank your outside just looks like a plain box of quarts there is no detail on it that catches my attention. The ground outside: All I see is a plain brick road with no details that draw my attention. The fountain is advanced yes but there is nothing else on the grassy area that makes the plot come alive The inside: White white white white: There is way too much white on the inside it is so white that it becomes very booring to look at. There is nothing really standing out in the room. The daycare center: This can really be expanded with a lot give them a snack room, nap room, bathroom, Staff office and a lot more, Go and look at a daycare center close by your home IRL and see what they have. Waiting room: what are people waiting for and Please add some cool carpet. Everything is way too square The stairs just look too plain: There are no rails to prevent guests from falling. The Hotel rooms are so bare that they look more like a jail cell than a hotel room I see a very public pool. To be honest it really looks like it was placed there at total random. Bathrooms: In a hotel I really expect that each room has it's own bathroom. The ceiling has hardly any detail at all I would expect lights hanging from it but I don't see any Decorations: This Just is way too bare. You Have a Square White hotel with white walls, white floors and with white furniture nothing sticks out. This is a very easy one to decline and I fully support stanky on it. Please ask for input from the rest of the community so that you can make this a better place
You see, as i said with stanky, i stuck to a theme ok? and i also couldnt add anything on the outside of my hotel cuz there is no frikin point, first of all the third floor has very tall walls and i put windows on it but it leaves a lot of space and why would i put windows on the side of the hotel if you cannot see out of them? there would be no point and tell me, wut would i even put on the outside walls of my hotel? a sign maybe, but thats it and u ppl would probably still nag me about it being too plain. i do have an updated version where i renovated it but i have yet to read why it was denied too. but back on topic, the daycare center is a room i probab;y will expand, the thing is i made it with intentions of putting something near it on the outside of the room, but ended up not doing it. it was all finished and nice looking on the inside and out that i really didnt want to expand it. after all, they are just kids and they should not be as big to outgrow that room, but yes i guess i could make a snack table or something too. they have an entertainment system ok? i also dont have a daycare near my home irl so i cant go look at it and why would i want my hotel like a real life copy of a hotel. come on now. yes yes now the waiting room. you should seriously know wut ppl r waiting for, i mean come on its a hotel and ppl have to wait in line and wait in a room with chairs and flowers and a tv or somethin while they r waiting and i dont feel there is a need to add "some cool carpet or something" in my hotel because as i said with stanky it is supposed to be a nice themed fancy and snazzy hotel. why would you even say that everything is too square? ITS MINECRAFT hello?! minecraft is a game made up of blocks, or otherwise known as SQUARES ok? i really hoped that you knew that but... ok. the stairs arent supposed to be like swirly crazy colorful obnoxious stairs i mean come on they r just stairs. and the railing doesnt really have to be there and if it were it would be dark maroon or wood and that doesnt fit my theme. i have created a theme of quartz, glass, and water and i used glowstone for light. torches are not fancy enough for my hotel. fine i guess i may add a bathroom in the hotel rooms but there is a bathroom outside them, so i feel i really didnt need to put them inside the rooms, but.. idk ok now ur just cunfuzzlin me so yeah... and wut do u want like a whole other room for a hottub? i mean do i really need another room for a hottub cuz its the adult kind of area and there must be a hottub. come on now. i have decorated the hotel very lightly cuz i dont want u ppl being like THATS TOO CRAZY THERES TOO MUCH AHHH! so yeah theres that. and if you mean the glass roof has no detail u might wanna check again plz so yeah. lastly i dont want like evrything to stick out cuz then it would have too much going on and too crazy and obnoxious and no one needs that ok? so i hope you take this long msg into account when you check other plots and possibly others of mine ok?
oh yeah and i forgot, you said mine was very easy to decline... umm i really think thats rude and u should not say that to ppl when they r really excited cuz u kinda just crushed my dreams with that and now im really like blah and nothing matters anymoar cuz now appearently i have easily declinable plots... so yeah u kinda just crushed my dreams with that statment but... i guess that may be wut u say to other ppl too but im just puttin that out there, thats rude wut u said and i hope u really sont say that to ppl all the time cuz thats mean.
Your two applications were not close to being what we are looking for. Please go review some of the accepted applications to see the standard we want. I'm locking this thread to stop this trainwreck
