The HARDCORE Survival Guide to This Server!​

You must sign up for a Minecraft Forum account first. Once you have one, go back to this forum page. Click the button "Add Reply"​

Type in "IGN:" and then your username. After that, ask one of the players with a Blue, Light Blue, Red, or Dark Red name to have you promoted. And voila! You're done!​

Ranks​

In this server, there are different ranks:​

​

​

Outsider: The guests of the server. They can view things but nothing else.​

Settler: Those who have signed up for the server. They have basic commands and can build.​

Elder: Those who have been on the server for 3 months - can use gold helmets to breathe in water.​

Traveller: Those who have located a catacomb. They can use compasses to teleport around.​

+Donator: Those who have donated $8 to the server. They can use the magic carpet.​

++SuperDonator: Those who have donated $50. They can use instant pick and magic lit up carpet.​

Moderator: Those who have been chosen to help moderate the server. Can use a few major commands.
Lead Moderator: Higher ranking than moderators. Can use same commands as mods, plus /kick.
Admin: Those who have been chosen to administrate the server. Have almost every command.
Lead Admin: Those in complete control of the server. They have EVERY command. They hate you.



Outsider commands:
/spawn /killed /list (shows a list of the current players)

Settler commands: all outsider commands plus these-
/sethome, /delhome, /home (allows you to set (3) warp locations as homes) /afk (announces that you're away from keyboard) /back (takes you to the last location you teleported to)

Elders and Travellers have all previous commands

Donator commands: all previous commands plus these-
/mc (spawns a glass 'carpet' that you can fly with)

SuperDonator commands: all previous commands plus these-
/ml (spawns a light in the middle of the magic carpet) // (lets you dig anything instantly with a pick)

Admin/Moderator commands: all previous commands plus these-
/kick, /ban--- That's all you need to know. There're more that you'll learn if you become part of the staff

Regions​

In this server, you can get an area protected from griefing by having it regioned. Follow these steps to get your region.

1.Mark a 75x75 block area with a wall.
2. Ask someone from the staff to region something for you. (a message may show up saying a player has requested to teleport to you. Type /tpaccept)
3. Show the staff two opposite corners of your region.
4. Enjoy!

You have several commands to control your region:
/region addmember [regionname] [usertoadd] - this lets someone else build in your region
/region addowner [regionname] [usertoadd] - this lets someone else be in control of the region
/region delmember, /region delowner - removes a user from being able to build/control the region
/region flag [regionname] [property] [deny/allow] - go to this link for more information:

Your region will be named YourName_1 or YourName_2 --- YourName being your username and the number identifies whether it's your first or second region.

BookWorm​

Bookworm is a plugin that lets you write things into books. In case you don't know books are made like this: [Paper] [ ] [ ]​

-To type a book (with a book in hand, of course), type /write. This will ask you to create a title. After that, it'll probably enable chat writing, meaning that whenever you type casually in the chat, you're actually composing your book. To disable this, type /write -chat. While this is disabled, type /write and then start writing to add things to your book.​

-You can also store books you've created into bookcases. Left click the selected bookcase with your new book and it will copy the book into the case. To read from the bookcase, just right click it. To make a copy of your book, left click it. ​

iConomy ​

-The server also makes use of an awesome plugin called iConomy. This is like having a debit card on minecraft. You start out with an account on this server when you sign up. This is where you store your gold as a currency.​

-Whenever you have gold ingots, I'd recommend storing them in your account. To do this, go to the spawn, turn backwards, and you'll see a building. Go inside of it and, if you're in the right building, there will be a half glowstone half diamond ore chandelier. This is the bank. There are two signs on the left and right. These are the ATMs. Left click them to choose between 'Deposit', 'Withdraw', and 'Balance'.​

+Deposit lets you add gold ingots in your inventory to your account.​

+Withdraw takes out gold ingots from your account and gives you tangible gold.​

+Balance shows you your current gold amount (which can be done more easily by typing /money).​

-Having money in your account lets you do three things: join the MobArena, enter the lottery, and more importantly, buy things. MobArena will be discussed later in this tutorial.​

-Chestshops are shops people have set up to allow you to purchase things from them. They are made up of a sign on which purchase/sell info is placed as well as a chest where the items for sale are stored. Once you have some money in your account, go to the spawn. Turn right, and then take another right. Keep on going until you hit a sandstone building. Go out the netherrack gate near the bookcases. This is the spawn market. The majority of shops are located here. You can wander around and check out some of the awesome, creative shops like roguethunder's megamall, Dzyriq's treehouse shop, and Thr0ttie's pumpkin shop. Left click the signs to buy, right click to sell (if that's available).​

ChestShop​

​

As seen in the last chapter, you can set up and buy from chestshops. Once you can get 128 gold in your account, you can buy the rights to make these chestshops. Go to the bank and click the sign in the middle. Now you can make your very own awesome epic super cool.... um... chestshop!!! Congrats!!! You can ask a staff member to find you a plot at the spawn shops for you to set up your new shop. First, make your shop. Now you can set up the shops! Place a chest somewhere and a sign above it saying:

B price: S price​

Item​

YourName being your username. Amount is the quantity of the item bought or sold per purchase. B price is actually B, then the number of gold that the item will be bought for, S price being the same except the price people will sell to you for. Sell price is optional; if you don't want it, remove the ':', 'S', and the price. Item being the item that you're selling. Once this is all done you're done! Just let people come to your shop and browse your selections. Once your shop is opened, feel free to announce it for the heck of it or to advertise it.

Lottery​

Along with MobArena and item purchases, you can enter your money into the lottery. It's a server-wide event that restarts every 12 hours. To enter money into it, type /lottery buy #, # being the amount of gold you want to risk (1-16). All the money put in the lottery by other players is pooled into the winning. The winnings may vary depending on who joins at the time. After the 12 hours, one player who has entered into the lottery will be given the winnings, which are usually above 150 gold.​

Stargates​

Stargates are a quick way to get around the server map instead of walking thousands of blocks, place to place. A stargate has a frame, same as a nether portal.​

After you have the obsidian frame set up, kindly ask a Traveller to activate it for you. You must have a sign to do that. The stargate will have a name and network. The name can be anything 10 letters long. That's how it'll show up to the rest of the stargates connected to it. The network is the "channel" that the stargate operates on. The default network is 'reavers'. If you want a private network, just ask the Traveller to make the network something like your name. Once it's activated, left click the sign to go up the selections, right click to go down. After it's selected, press the button on the right of the stargate to go through it.​

Lockette​

This is potentially one of the most important plugins on this server yet. It can keep those nasty thieves and griefers away! (if Chuck Norris' roundhouse kick to the face doesn't already do that) To lock a chest or door of yours, put a sign up in front of it, then type this:​

Friend1 and friend2 are the usernames for your friends to be able to access it. The second line automatically fills in your name. For doors, you can add [timer:#] to line 3 or 4. # is the number of seconds until the door closes. To add more users to the door or chest, add a sign on another side that says: [more users]​

This will keep all your valuables nice and safe. Unless, of course, Chuck Norris comes. There's no stopping him, locks or not.​
