HeroChat is a plugin for Bukkit that enables many different channels of chat. This server has a few channels for everyone, and some private ones for towns and such. They are joined with the command /ch <channelname> <password (for private chats)> Public Use Channels - The Very Basics The HelpMe channel is joined with /ch help. It causes you to talk like this: [h] yourname <message> The Trade channel is used for bidding, buying, selling, and bartering. It is joined with /ch trade or /ch t. You will talk in green, with a $ in front. The Local channel talks only to people in your vincinity. It helps with the overflowing of global chat. You will speak in yellow. The default channel is global. To join, type /ch g or /ch global. To leave any of these, type /ch leave <channelname>. Private Channels They are joined with /ch join <channelname> <password> There is, unfortunately, no way to complain to the blazes about your day. And that's HeroChat. Its very simple! Some more chat stuff - /ignore <playername> (makes 'em shut up, at least to you) use /msg <playername> <message> to send private messages. [kluge5 --> Me:] Hi there, and thanks for reading! Also, See my contest entry here - A Guide to the Server Remember, it's nice to comment ^.^
Trade Chat isnt green its yellow, and /ch t wont get you there, as that is the Traveller channel. Talk about the /ch help page and what all those commands do, this plugin has a lot of options, and I know ruff and I would love to see a good easy to read yet complex guide that explains everything about it, or most everything. Sorry if it seems like I am putting you down, but I do not mean it that way. You are the only one who had the balls to stand up and have at this plugin that has so many freaking options. Keep at it, and make it more detailed
Yeah, I was pretty sure that the global was green, but I couldn't remember the trade color. Ill add more, now.
More Chats & Channels The /ch help page: Find channels with /list. Send messages to another channel without leaving your with /qm <channel> <message> There is also /ch tell <player> <message>, which is the channel equivalent of the /msg command. /ch create <channelname> makes a new channel. /ch remove takes a channel away. /ch [ban | kick | mute] <channel> <playername> bans, kicks, or mutes a person from the channel. /ch toggle <channel> this and the kickbanmute command are only for mods and such. This one turns channels on and off. /help <pagenumber 1-3> displays these commands and help /ch <command> ? displays information on the command That's my addition so far.
Also it would be better for you to edit what your posts say in, so its all in one area. Trade channel color and channel text color is yellow, btw also its a [$] /ch $ will get u into it aswell
Pretty nice guid, yet i culd hardly understand some of these, other than that its a pretty good guide :}
