Reasoning:

It was a tough one, I really liked all of the 3 other entries;

Diabolo868, I really liked your tower, a good mix of materials that I also use commonly myself, I'm a sucker for medieval styles. The vines wrapping around the building and the cobweb smoke are a nice touch. My only criticism is that the tower seems a little short, there's little distance between the apex of the base of the tower and the base of the upper section. I feel could have maybe benefited from slightly more height.

NemoD98, really nice, and it was definitely a close call for me, I love the structure, I love the roofs, I find it really hard to build with brick, so kudos for that. The element that I felt that could perhaps be improved is the blending of your tower, specifically the point where the stone stops and the wood begins. I like your materials don't get me wrong, its just a very obvious divide and it makes them look like they've not been joined together properly.

emil_97, I liked your unique design but I wasn't sure about where you were going with the nether-rack (I don't really see the two as complementary, but perhaps someone could prove me wrong), the wooden structure itself was nice and full of detail. I'd maybe consider adding a third accent material though to mix up the materials a bit more. Also perhaps some additional height too, like Diabolo868, the base seems to converge with the upper tiers.

Yeah, should've finished the island... The idea is that it would be a floating netherisland just like the other biome islands... xP
I'll cast my votes tomorrow since I can't get on today...

Nemo: The tower wasn't really groundbreaking, but was well done, big and realistic. Loved the library but some rooms I feelt didn't make much sense... And the flag at the top could have been done better.

Diabolo: Really nice and neat, but too small and you couldn't even enter it... Would be perfect in a steampunk city tho!

Shadow: Great tower, loved the base and the roof. Same as Nemo, you couldn't enter it and was too small to be filled with any kind of interior... It really fits in with the landscape tho!

 

@emil_97, Thank you for your feedback and thanks for the point

I agree the interior is maybe a little bit on the small side (I generally have to work on my interiors)

I wasn't really sure what you'd put in a scout-like tower, some chests for armor/weapons storage seemed like the best option, and of course a ladder to get up top/onto the balcony, so if you have any suggestions I'd be happy to take them on board.

It sounds though like you didn't manage to see the inside after all.

(To future judges: The door's are on the base's level, one on the front, one at the back at the top of the stairs.)

You're right, I was inside the tower in an early stage when I think there was just a hole to get in... Can't really remember... But I'll deffenatly check it out later!
