Ive been following some youtubers with lets plays about this game, its like playing a master piece movie, amazing game.
I wish I wasn't a PC gamer so I would be used to forking over $60 for a game. I'll get it in a couple months for my birthday or something.
Guess I should rephrase. Does anyone own/rent/have seen it played etc. From this feedback so far I might have to check it out for sure. It's not based on just killing zombies is it?
Those who are wondering, it is a PS3 exclusive game. It will not be released to PC or Xbox360. After 14 hours of gameplay, I finished the game on a Normal difficulty setting. The Last of Us is a great game, but for me it is a 1 time playe rna dis exactly how Thr0ttie described, playing a very good movie. The combat system is difficult and allows for much versatility regarding either being a ninja sneaking by most of your enemies or feeling like a badass and watching them burn. Giving a 9/10 rating from me. The developers created an intensely immersive environment making you really feel as if you are trying to survive in this zombie and thug filled world. constantly having to scavenge for scraps to purchase upgrades for your weapons and supplies to create much needed health kits and molotovs. Giving a 9/10 rating from me. The graphics are elegant with very few bugs. I have only witnessed only one bug through my gameplay which probably stemmed by my 9-hour marathon. The bug was of low frames per second which skipped one of my videos after freezing for 5 minutes. Giving a rating of 10/10 from me. The storyline is a bit predictable towards the "Just-in-time" hero description. With this predictable storyline, it still reaches a 9/10 rating from me. This game is a great buy, but i do not see the price sticking at $60 and recommend you wait a few months for the price to sharply fall to between $40-$50 expecting it to eventually settle around $35. In my opinion, this is a much satisfying play and mark it as a: "Although having a great storyline and gameplay, you should wait to play this when the price drops in a month or two and not rush out to get it." Overall rating: 8/10 due to not having much after-campaign content.
Yeah I might wait till my birthday in July to get it, I'd rather wait for pricing to go down a bit so I can get it used for decently cheap.
Oh shoot it's PS3 exclusive? guess I should have known since sony owns naughty dog. poo biscuits!!!!!
Well, I will probably never play it so I'm watching pewdiepie play it. Beware of spoiler comment below... Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Heartstrings being ripped the heck out...
After finishing this game I realized how the story is very similar to the story in The Walking Dead game, which makes me confused as to why so many people are blown away by it. Seriously, go play The Walking Dead if you haven't already, while it's a completely different type of game(adventure as opposed to third person shooter) the story is better, (semi-spoiler) Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler You actually feel like the main character genuinely cares for the girl and you start to as well, where as in the Last of Us it seems like Ellie and Joel hate each other almost the entire game and its on both PS3 ANd xbox for much cheaper
Okay I feel like one of those people who just watched an amazing tv series and needs to talk about it..btw I recommend anyone and everyone to check it out at some point. Except maybe not little babby childs Beware of ending spoiler below. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler What was that ending?! what?! She totally knew he was lying! I mean, I'm glad they are together but wha? What will happen now? She wanted to sacrifice herself after all that mess right? Honestly, I'm glad she's still alive because she's BA...I need answerssss lol
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler nah man she wanted to go through with it but I thought that Joel was kind of selfish at the end, also the black chick was kind of ungrateful to him when he got there
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler I'd agree with you he was pretty selfish. He probably should have let her decide what to do since they went through so much crap to get there. On the other hand, Marlene the lady was indeed a beeotch. She knew Joel was like losing a second daughter and didn't give a crap. Didn't let him say goodbye and just tried kicking him out the door. Although selfish, do you think Joel did the right thing? I just went back and found out the last 12 test subjects before Ellie died and didn't help the fireflies figure out a cure for the Cordyceps parasite. Maybe there really is another way to get a cure?
The restraint required not to open these spoilers is too ridiculous... Cmon vintagebeef, hurry up with your LP episodes!
