Well, a solid budget is going to be the biggest decision maker. And do you primarily game, do you do multimedia stuff, surf the net?
Game? Yes I do, Multimedia? Pretty much all the time, surf the net, once in a while. So I game more than media.
If you're willing to wait I'll build you an idea in 2 or 3 hours when I get home from work! Do you have a preference between intel/AMD?
Okay, I put together a black/gold themed build for you. The first version is $1,184 with a better video card and a 256GB SSD. The second one has a lower level but still very capable card and a 120GB SSD. I would get the first version if I re-built my PC.. Mine is more AMD oriented. Hope you enjoy. $1,184 Build $1,064 Build
Also if/when you decide to build, there are plenty of video tutorials to guide you step by step. The only parts you really need to be careful on are making sure you use the motherboard standoffs, and inserting the CPU into its socket. Here's a good starter vid.
This is my beast; 20% chance of it turning on. You can't use the right side of the keyboard as its completely destroyed.. also the speakers are broken so it makes a loud beeping sound. (Yes the screen is smashed it fell out my window)
You should see how my family treats their computers... It would drive a computer geek insane: Greasy keyboards, dustmites up the wazoo, missing keyboard buttons-- there's a reason why I keep my own personal computers locked and passworded. You'd be shocked on how many laptops we've gone through from just poor maintenace and care alone.
I'm joking about that being my laptop.. that's some old thing I've had for years I'll post my actual set up later
This is my actual set up.. Monitor: samsung 9 series s27b970d Keyboard: corsair k95 Mouse: logitech g602 Computer specs: Intel core i7-4790k cpu @ 4.00GHZ 6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX titan black ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO LGA 1150 INTEL Z97 HDMI SATA 6GB/S USB 3.0 ATX INTEL Motherboard 32.0Gb Ram
