Just something I have run across, thought I would share. http://www.spongepowered.org/ Possibly the future of community mods/servers with the state of Bukkit in question. Who knows for sure, but I find it interesting. The team behind this consists of: sk89q (of WorldEdit/WorldGuard) blood (of MCPC+/Cauldron) LexManos (of Forge/FML/MCP) cpw (of Forge/FML/MCP) Portions of the Spout team (Zidane/Raphfrk/DDoS/Sleaker/Owexz/Wulfspider) Portions of the Flow team (kitskub) Portions from ForgeEssentials (AbrarSyed) Other Bukkit Plugin developers (KHobbits/Elgarl/zml) Portions of the FTB team The Canary team Glowstone (SpaceManiac) Spigot team Some previous contributors to Bukkit Other people we have likely failed to mention What is sponge? "Sponge is a combination of a new API (likely based off of Spout/Flow’s APIs) implemented on top of Forge, with assistance from other parts of Minecraft’s modding community (Glowstone, Canary, etc.). It will be both a server and client API, and its target user base is pretty much anyone that wants to mod their game, including server owners. However, we may focus on the server-side portion first. We invite any developer to help out."
I've seen it, yet to see this comming true, with the current problems they can't realy go and take original code, so it will take a long time before this is done.
Yes I heard about this but I join wonder how long it will take since they need to re write fresh set of code.
