I have also been voting daily which enabled me to get a few more diamonds to sell and also with the 200 EXP per day I managed to enchant a full set of armor with protection IV which I then went on to sell to emil for 6k. I have also been studying the prices of items and I've managed to pick up some items for much cheaper then they were worth such as a sharp IV knockback II sword for $15 and sold for 1.3k. Bargain! I did this with several other items such as spider eyes, leathers, and quarts. I had roughly 4-6k when I decided to save for hunter.
