Got some pretty heavy storms here. I saw the repeated, intense flashing of light coming through my windows, so I went outside on my balcony to see if I could get any footage of mother nature's magnificence. It was pretty difficult getting good footage because where I positioned the camera was kind of just blind guessing, since I didn't know where the lightning would be positioned each time it struck. I was only using my iPhone, so sorry about the poor quality, but I was able to get one good slow-motion video (120 FPS) as well as pictures pulled from that video. I love watching how you can start to see the lightning develop, and then it transitions into a well-defined streak of electrons, all because of a charge imbalance. I could sit up on my balcony for days just watching this. But it's over...and I'm drenched because I didn't get a raincoat . Anyway, hope you enjoy watching this type of thing as much as I do .
Ran through my neighborhood last night as well. It got pretty bad. I'm sure there are trees down somewhere.
