Happiest moment of my life?

I'm not sure.

I have moments that I've liked more than others, really though what is happiness?
Is it when you first meet your new sibling or niece or nephew? Is it the time that you get to spend with family?
When you get your first car? Kiss that girl you've had a crush on for a while?

I'd say all of those are events of happiness.

As a human we experience times of great pleasure and times of great discontent. Sigmund Freud has a paper on this topic.

He explains that we all experience displeasure. Loss of loved ones, your body growing old and not moving right and filled with pain. The weather outside effects your mood as well.

These symptoms are what makes the happiness events worth it. If you didn't feel discomfort, you would be bored all of the time. You wouldn't experience happiness because you can't experience displeasure.

So if I had to choose the happiest time in my life I'd say

When both of my Nephews were born
When my younger siblings were born
When I met my first girlfriend
When I met every subsequent girl after that
When I've made a new friend

But those would not be anything without the yang
My sister passed away, last year. It sucks but I know she is no longer suffering. She is one of the most important people I've lost. But it makes me feel better when I know that she left behind children to carry on her story.

Every girl I broke up with. It made me learn from my mistakes. I learned what girls want, what they need from a relationship. I've learn why girls and guys cheat in a relationship.

Every time I lost a friend. People come and go as you get older. The friends that you don't lose are your true friends. They don't care about petty shit.

Every time I got in a fight. If there was no conflict between humans, we wouldn't be social creatures. We fight for sometimes stupid reasons. Power, status, money, and BF/GF. These are what make us HUMAN.


The sweeter things make life more endurable. They are only sweeter because you've tasted the bitter side of the tart called life.

Welp I have had a lot of bad moments and out of my life I think that the best moment was when I got my pet cat, Fluffy.

If you know the story about her - you know she went missing (and probably died) four days after my birthday on an Easter Sunday. Life has its ups and downs and I hope that you find some source of safety and sanity throughout it... Mine happens to be cats and music. Hehe
