Hello! Welcome to my tutorial on how to enhance minecraft. This will focus solely on graphical goodies; you will not find minimaps, chat mods, or anything like that. This tutorial will teach you how to download and install the mods below. Oh, as with any mod, delete the META-INF folder within your minecraft.jar Get Optifine here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...hd-textures-aa-af-and-more/page__hl__optifine Mods I will be going over: GLSL Shaders/Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders Maybe more soon?
GLSL Shaders Link: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...apping-waving-wheat-dynamic-shadows-and-more/ You will need optifine in order for this to work! STEP 1 After you have downloaded for your appropriate version of minecraft, make a new folder anywhere (like on your desktop) and drag the file you just downloaded into the folder. STEP 2 Then right click on the file and select "extract here" STEP 3 Once you have done so, a new folder called "shaders" should be automatically made. Go into this folder and either run the installer or run the file called "nitrous" I ran the nitrous file. Click the "install mods" button. installation should now begin. be patient, as this will take a few minutes The mod should now be installed succesfully.
Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders Link: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...le-shaders-glsl-shaders-dynamic-shadows-more/ You will need optifine for this to work! Repeat steps 1-3 as seen above, except with this mod instead. I HIGHLY reccomend this next part, unless you enjoy motion sickness. After you have the mod installed sucessfully, go to the link above, and scroll down until you see this. Download this. Go to your minecraft.jar, which can be found by searching "%appdata%" and clicking on "roaming" then click on the ".minecraft" folder, then click on the "bin" folder. Open your minecraft.jar with the program winrar or a similar program, and go to the "shaders" folder Open up the file you downloaded, called "Ultra_no_motion_blur.." with winrar or a similar program. Open the folder by the same name. Drag the contents of this folder and drop it into the "shaders" folder of your minecraft.jar. Overwrite, and replace everything if prompted to do so. Everything should work fine!
