as far as laptops go. cant go wrong with a good alienware gaming laptop. Got to realize though (especially when dealing with laptops) High performance = expensive http://www.alienware.com/Landings/laptops.aspx Personally i prefer to do my gaming on a Desktop, is what they are built for.
the one on the left is probably the most suited one here http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-M17x-r4/pd.aspx?ref=1701prodDetails
Honestly, laptops nowadays will not be able to handle any new age games, they dont have enough graphics, just buy a desktop, and know that you can never quit upgrading the stats for it. Alienwares are yes, good for gaming but no, on anything else, they are the most expensive and building or buying a desktop is cheaper in the short and long run. Alienwares are crap in my opinion, snazzy case, super expensive insides that will soon be outdated.
I would go with a desktop over laptop anyday for gaming. But he didn't ask for a desktop, he asked for a laptop. And I assume there is a reason behind that.
nope. we can play it on our school laptops, but the internet blocks tumblr and minecraft.net. otherwise i would play it at lunch and recess
Here's a trick. You normally log on to minecraft at school, it wont log in for 1,000,000 years. Turn off wifi cant connect to minecraft.net, play offline. Thats what i do.
Unless you absolutely have no choice...don't get a laptop for gaming... It sounds like money isn't much of a problem - any reason you can't get a moderately priced laptop for general use and then a separate gaming desktop?
for that price id defiantly go for the alienware. The alienware has a better CPU and the same GPU and while yes that laptop does have 16gb ram you are not going to use that much ram even in the most demanding games so thats kinda pointless. The Asus laptop costs 1,400 and has a worse CPU, no dedicated Sound card like the Alienware nor as good a wireless card with bluetooth like the alienware. The alienware at 1,500 imo is a far better deal than the Asus, especially due to it having better CPU, sound, bluetooth and of course the fancy lightshow and case for aesthetics ontop of having a good warranty plan backed by good customer service. and while Globster has just reinstated what we already said in desktop being better for gaming. If its a laptop your wanting hope we helped
I just say this. I don't know if i am late but my opinion is DON'T BUY GAMING LAPTOP because all of the laptops out there are outdated. (That is my opinion). Well what i would do is buy a computer (not laptop) that you do gaming on it. And then buy a smaller latpop that can play some games without lagg so you can take it with you to your friend or something like that. I don't reccomend buying laptop. I did it and i regret it really bad. I bought a computer for 7 years ago and i still use it and it plays some games really good. Only upgrades was from 2gb ram to 8gb (ddr2 if you know what it is) and from Ati radeon hd 3770 ( i know stfu dont say it) to ati radeon hd 5770.
The whole point of getting a laptop not a desktop is that i want to make this tranportable. I travel a lot with my family and i want to make this something i can take with me. Also i want to put Minecrafts new LAN feature to good use, being able to use it at my friends house rather than them always coming to me.
