Link: Loadout on Steam So Loadout is this ridiculously absurd third person shooter based around the idea that you can create any kind of weapon that you want. The player models and art style reminds me of Team Fortress 2, but I find the preposterous game mechanics to be an absolute joy. The animations of the distastefully customizeable player models looks smooth and the maps I've played feel well designed for some quick and dirty fun. Compound the fast-feeling gameplay with gibs(a fragment esp. a gobbet of flesh resulting from total obliteration of a target usually by means of an explosion; giblet.) and some colorful PG-13 taunts and outfits to give your character with the aforementioned game mechanics and artwork and you have yourself a real winner of a game! Loadout is a free to play game that you can optionally purchase for $19.99 as a starter pack to help out the developers if you want to. If you have the time, I suggest checking this one out. I feel like it might be a winner. What are your thoughts?
I got a beta key for this at Quakecon last year. The devs seemed like cool guys and the game is pretty amusing, if youre into this type of game. On the other hand, if youre super into TF2, you might not get behind loadout. All things considered though, its worth a few rounds.
