So I was dinking around with some of the MC .jar and I found out how to make my own paintings. Not hard to do at all. anyway I thought I'd share a couple of my masterpieces I should name theses....maybe later. Feel like something...is watching me...
Also, if anyone would like help on how to do this yourself, I'd be happy to help if anyone shows interest.
More paintings after more tinkering They could use a bit more touch up obviously, but I was excited and wanted to show you what could be done. (by the way, the dot on the kitty's nose is from the torch lol)
those are really detailed... is that like a imported picture into it or you do that by hand? If that is by hand im extremely impressed lol.
I know right? I wish I could take credit and say I did it by hand haha. That cat picture has over 38 million pixels in it before downsizing, would have taken...sooo long to do by hand lol They are pictures I found on google. but the process of getting them into the game so detailed took quite a bit of work actually. In the jar, there is a .png called kz.png, and it is what loads the art into the game. Opening that file also works as a template, however, when opening it in paint, the template is tiny, like 256x256 px and the paintings are even smaller. That's why they look pixelly in the game. I was messing around with it and the first two pictures are what came out of it. I did some searching and borrowed an HDx128 kz.png so that the paintings would be a lot more detailed. And as you can see by what I put up, they are definitely lol. The hard part really is getting a picture to fit within the template. takes a little bit of sizing trial and error in paint to get it right. I'll put up a good tutorial when I get some more spare time for those who want it. I'll also upload the HD kz.png so you guys can use it and not have to mess around with files. For PC users, the kz.png is in bin/.jar/art those who don't know what I'm talking about, I'll explain in the tutorial.
