I had a car accident yesterday. A guy crossed four lanes and pulled out directly in front of me. I had enough time to change lanes to not rear-end this guy. As I went around him, something happened and the rear-end of my mother's truck kicked out. I spun and slid about 100 feet. Took out a Dunkin Doughnut's sign. I'm uninjured, well, except for my pride. The responding officer determined that the rear tires being low tread were the cause of the accident. As a mechanic, I have to agree. The accident could of been a lot worse. I came to a stop in between a lamp post and an above ground electrical post. Probably going to be out $500 for the sign and about $700 in repairs. I still haven't bought the truck and this was the first time I drove it in over 6 months. Here are some pictures of the aftermath:
