Okaaay, i'm a bit hyped about this so ima post a thread here too (already did it on like 2 other forums), i'd like to see the wowheads in here speak up! It was stated that in the last patch of MoP both factions are going to lay siege to orgrimmar and end his reign of warchief. As MoP progresses it seems that garrosh is going to start to turn corrupt, as he is already hated by most of the other horde leaders and his hatred towards the alliance is going to be his final downfall. Lots of people don't really think garrosh will be killed, rather than banished or something. I disagree since the peace loving Jaina will go crazy after the destruction of theramore, and her encounter with garrosh, she would probably be the first to spit on his corpse You can say tyrande would have mercy, but after end time she doesn't have that much of a role in MoP, i'd like to know what you guys think, what's going to happen to garrosh? Do you think after the siege (it's stated both factions will turn against garrosh, so alliance will be present) the horde will take the opportunity to ambush the alliance, or just let them leave? I also read something interesting, vol'jin clearly hates garrosh and doesn't want him as warchief, at the elemental invasion meeting he says the following: "Ya will spend ya reign glancin' over ya shoulda and fearin' tha shadows, for when tha time comes and ya blood be slowly drainin' out, ya will know exactly who fired da arrow dat pierced ya heart." (taken from wowwiki) After reading this i'm starting to think it will be vol'jin who kills garrosh and possibly take his place as the new horde warchief (BUT blizzard has said that the new warchief will be someone we least expect, and atm vol'jin is someone we expect the most so it's unlikely at the moment). My imagination is running a little bit, but I have a feeling the factions will have mercy and probably jail/banish garrosh for life, but voljin secretly fires an arrow and killing him. Though in the 1st dungeon of MoP, it is shown how 3 people are 'possessed' by a Sha and the players have to kill them to release it, so maybe garrosh is going to ultimately be possessed by a sha which leads him to go corrupt? I don't think that would be as cool, i'd like the encounter to stay as vanilla as possible, no outside interference, only the alliance and horde rivalry. Thoughts? comments? i'd like to hear what you people think.
I been away from WoW to long lol... Since when did the horde leader become this corrupt hate infused leader that nobody liked? The last patch i played was WotLK I quit shortly after getting all my characters up to max and getting bored.
As for who kills him, I wouldn't be suprised if its Jaina or Voljin. I havent played WoW in over a year, but I got the gist of Hellscream. And from the beginning, I knew this wouldn't turn out well. He was a bloodthirsty leader, who was what the Horde needed at first to come back. But to keep the growing relationship with the alliance against the turning elements and what not, they would need a more level-headed leader. Thus I think it will be a troll or panda who comes to power, but as someone we would least suspect? A pandarean, or a goblin, maybe even a bloodelf. I think the horde will be better allies with the Alliance for this battle and more in the future. But in the end, I think that the Horde will retaliate again in order to spark that rivalry, or they will spark the rivalry through challenging eachother in more of a friendly aspect. Who knows? I think the Sha idea might be correct, but then again, Garrosh is a dick and will do anything to protect what he thinks of as the "Horde" and not what the Horde actually wants.
