This is one of the texture packs that I currently use as well as the other two (Dark and High). DokuCraft focuses at being a Medieval style based RPG texture pack.
This is the first pack in the 3 part saga. The others are; Dark and High which will be posted about on a later date. Please feel free to comment on what you think about Dokucraft Light and leave you opinion below.
Information you need to know:
DokuCraftlight is a 32×32 pack.
You are able to customize DokuCraft light.
One of the three texture packs that the author has produced.
DokuCraft Light supports the 1.1 updates and changes.
The author has said that he is not making any more of these texture
packs. (Dark, Light and High) so any others you find are fan made.
Today Mojang released a new update to Minecraft! The new version is 1.1 and give us a lot of new content!
The following features have been added to Minecraft 1.1 :
- Bow Enchantments
- Golden Apple recipe
- New language translations.
- Slightly smoothed color transitions between biomes
- Reduced brewing time to 20 seconds
- Added spawn eggs to creative (the colors of the eggs even look like the mobs)
- Added world type options (currently only super-flat and default)
- Removed collision box from ladders
- Sheep eat grass and regain their wool
Also there are a ton of bug fixes, and tweaks to the terrain to make it look better. Just run Minecraft as you normally would to update your copy of Minecraft to version 1.1.
With a new update also comes a new server version, we currently run:
- Minecraft 1.1 on Minecraftserver.com (Requires Client version 1.1)
- Minecraft 1.0 on Minecraftserver.com:25566 (Requires Client version 1.0)
The Minecraft 1.1 server will be running a temporary map until Bukkit is updated to support the 1.1 server.
The Minecraft 1.0 server currently runs Bukkit and all the plugins.
Updating Minecraft 1.1:
When updating, make sure you have made a back-up of your current minecraft.jar in case you want to play Minecraft 1.0.
This is how: (Windows)
- Press the Windows sign and r on your keyboard.
- In the prompt menu type in '%appdata%' (Without the '').
- Open .minecraft and go to the folder named 'bin'.
- Select minecraft.jar and copy, now paste it somewhere you can find it, or paste it...
Fellow minecrafters, for 2 days now we have a Casino live on the server, located near spawn! To play costs 1 gold ingot per spin, diagonal matching lines also count as wins.

I would personally like to say thanks to all the staff and players who continue to make this a great Minecraft server, We have grown from a small private server to a well known popular destination for Minecraft players.

With the official release of Minecraft 1.0.0, and for those of you who are tired of the .jar file shuffle we have now updated the main server over on MinecraftServer.com to the latest 1.0.1 server build, allowing you to connect with your 1.0.0 Minecraft clients. The server is running the most current development build of bukkit. However please note that a recommended build of bukkit does not yet exist for Minecraft 1.0.0 and bugs will still exist.
The majority of the bukkit plugins we rely on are also fully functioning, so it was time to make this official post, the Minecraft 1.9 pre-release servers have been closed, also our transitional Minecraft 1.8.1 server has now been shutdown. All players should update to Minecraft 1.0.0 client to play on the server.
The map has also been increased in size to 10,000 x 10,000 blocks allowing us to take advantage of the new terrain types introduced with the release of Minecraft 1.0.0
We have a number of exciting changes planned for Minecraft Server however the majority will not be integrated until we have a recommended bukkit build.

Minecraft will be released on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices later today, this is a trimmed down Pocket Edition of the game. This tiny pocket version is similar to the original Minecraft creative mode. You can create a randomly generated sandbox world to build in, 36 block types are given to you in unlimited amounts allowing you to go wild and build what ever your heart desires.
The only down side is that no adventure or survival mode are available, however it is a tight creative Minecraft experience and well worth the download if you are a Minecraft creative building fan.
Fear not Minecraft Pocket Edition is a universal app allowing your to use it on an iPad and iPhone is you have both devices. The iPad really does make this a great creative experience.
Jeb recently released Minecraft 1.0 Release Candidate 2! This version is a near completed version of Minecraft. There are some bug fixes and new things are added!
Changes:
-Almost all the sounds are changed, as you might have noticed already, the sounds are different
-A Quit game button is added to the main menu
-Bows now have a durabilitybar
-You can now talk while being in a nether portal in SMP

5. Right click on the file named minecraft and rename it minecraftold
5. Download the new minecraft.jar and drag or copy to the bin folder.
6. Run Minecraft as normal to play Release Candidate 2 of Minecraft 1.0
How To Restore Minecraft 1.8.1 (Windows)
1. Press the ‘Windows’ key on your keyboard and the ‘R’ key at the same time
2. Now type %appdata%
3. Locate your .minecraft folder
4. Navigate down into to your bin folder located inside the .minecraft folder
5. Delete the file named minecraft
5. Select the file named minecraftold right click and select rename change to minecraft
6. Run Minecraft as normal to play Minecraft 1.8.1 again
