Take your time on a build, maybe start building on the server. You obviously do have some very noticeable creativity, so put that skill to work and make something impressive!
If I were to try and make a creeper in 5 minutes.. It would be so crappy you would not be able to tell it was a creeper. That is good better than what i would do

No. This is pure and simple encouragement. A flame brings out the gold in people. And ore is useful only as a building block, but once it gets refined into iron you can make so much more from it. People get too touchy about criticism, when all I was doing was repeating back to him what he himself already knew and said. Yes, the creeper sucks. He said it himself and knows it. He'll either improve it, try again or do something else. No, there was not much flame. I'll give honest feedback over his feelings. That is more useful to him than complimenting a half-arsed effort (which he knows about). honest feedback is more useful than pandering to fishing for compliments. Fishing is insecurity and displays lack of confidence. Yes, there is encouragement in my postings. And I'll repeat it again so that it's the first and last thing he reads. "You can do better Stephen. If you dont know what to build, then build another creeper. Please note that I'm not angry, I am straight-forward. You asked what people think, I'll tell you what I think. You said it sucks, I agree. I also agree with Fill that you do have noticeable talent, and I encourage you to develop it. Develop your observation skills, because you can make some impressive stuff. Take time to do your builds. go slow. Refine refine refine.
