Swing the ban hammer a lot, then people will know who you are. With that being said only do it on people who deserve it like these examples:
    • X-rayers - If you like hunting
    • Trollers - Especially Planet Minecraft reviewers after you have trolled them.
    • Griefers - Just make sure the evidence is solid.
    • Heavy Spammers
    • Staff who can take Jokes - Only short bans of 10 seconds at the most.
    Now for the respected part:
    • Visit the players a lot and build with them.
    • Compliment all builds you see even if it really sucks. Help the player improve his/her build if needed.
    • Share your own tools and materials with the players that you build with.
    • Take part in or run events.
    • Take your staff duty seriously.

This is very important. You could make someone's day.

When I come to play Minecraft, I use it as an escape. Sometimes life sucks. When someone compliments my terrible redstone abilities and possibly my terrible building skills, it brightens my day up a little.

I would like to add on, you suck until further notice. You don't have the right to say your stuff is "the shit" unless a decent amount of people say it's good.

P.S. - This doesn't mean your not allowed to think your stuff isn't good. You can think whatever you want, but don't put someone else down simply because you think your better. At anything.

This goes for anyone and everyone. I had a teacher actually tell me this.

And you know what? She was right. Everyone did suck. Then they got better.
You can't improve if you can't see faults.
